Will my dreadlocks be an issue for sophomore recruiting.

I'm a rising sophomore preparing for recruiting and wondered if my dreads would be an issue. I keep them neat, and they don't go past my ears, eyebrows, or collar. I'm still debating whether to pursue consulting or IB specifically, so I've been preparing for both. My school has decent recruiting, and I've kept my GPA above 3.9. I am well aware of the various diversity opportunities I am lucky to have, but I still want to be a qualified candidate without them. So I got a summer internship at a boutique, and I'm learning technicals, practicing cases, learning various programming languages, the whole nine. After doing all this work, I don't want the thing preventing me from getting an internship in the summer 2025 and summer 2026 to be my hair. So, will it be an issue or not?

as long as you keep it neat and look presentable it shouldn’t be an issue

Not a professional yet but also I wear two strands usually except for any type of recruitment season or at my Internship. I will keep them in cornrows, think cornrows are the “safest”. Dreads I wouldn’t risk.
