Worth doing a part time MBA Internship?

Hey everyone - first time poster looking for some advice...

I'm an incoming MBB consultant currently getting ready to start my 2nd year at my MBA. I love consulting but am curious about the investing/PE world and want to keep the door open in case I want to recruit a couple years down the road (would most likely be looking at roles on the portfolio/operations side)

I've just gotten an offer to intern part time this fall with an unknown growth equity firm (just founded, only a few investments made). My question is: is it worth it? Will having this on my resume matter in a few years? And furthermore, is the experience really valuable?
