Yet Another Clothing Thread...

I'm getting clothes for this summer (IB summer analyst) and have already read several threads on the site recommending some staple items, suggested price ranges, and brands and I saw lots of people mentioning going to summer sales at the big name department stores. This being Memorial Day weekend and all, can I expect to find these sales going on (I've never been a big shopper so maybe that's a stupid question...)?

Anyone know of any particular good sales or maybe if some of the stores have annual event sales or something like that? I'd love any tips on where/when I can find good quality stuff (particularly needing a nice pair of shoes and could use some slacks) at a good value. Thanks all

I would also like to know this for the coming week. I will be coming from UK, and going to Houston. Whats the big department stores located in Houston, and which ones are mostl likely to have sales..
