Hello all! 30 year old looking to breaking into finance as a career change.

Hi everyone, I am looking forward to reading through some of the previous posts and participating in future posts (mostly observing for now).

What brought me here today:

I always wanted to break into finance, specifically equity research, but I ended up starting my career without finishing college and ended up holding 2 executive level positions in non finance sectors.

Now, I am 30 and looking for a career change. I don't like to regret things in life, but I do feel a little ashamed that I never finished my degree and that breaking into a new industry will require a degree.

I'm now in the process of finishing my degree as quickly as I can with the intention of getting my foot in the door anywhere just to start gaining experience in this new industry and hope that I can leverage my executive experience and leadership roles into a career in finance within a few years.

I hope my age and educational situation is not a set back.

Cheers!
