2020 Phone Recommendation?

My samsung has recently been totalled, and I'm in the market for a new phone. This thing had been a trooper and I was ideally looking to hold onto it until I was out of school, but that's still 3 years away. No real source of income and my parents are fairly poor, so I'm definitely not looking to get the newest phone of any kind, but I have enough money saved up so that I could and am willing to buy whatever has the best value. I always thought that I would switch over to an iPhone for easier compatibility with mac and AirPods, but I know that I'll be using windows in a few years and also looking to pick up a pair of bose headphones.

This post was longer than I planned, but I just wasn't sure of any recommendations you guys might have (not necessarily as professionals), and whether grabbing anything but an iPhone will get you the same looks that it does at my school.

TLDR - Not trying to seem autistic, but just not looking to drop 1.1k on the iPhone 11 pro max and I wasn't sure if anyone a little older could weigh in. Thanks.

I know you said no iPhone, but you can get a 64GB iPhone SE for $400 flat. I feel like it’s definitely a good budget option for someone in your shoes. I don’t know Samsung very well, but I think this would be a good way to go if you can’t find anything equivalent in the price range. I think they also offer like $12 a month for 30 months if you need to do a payment plan as well.

Hope this helps.

You can also get phones on Swappa. I bought my S9 from Swappa in mint condition a year ago. Paid 300 and it should last me another year or two hopefully at least. You can probably find an S10 now for the same price and get the same value out of it.
