2048game scores, lets post up a scoreboard

I might be tragically late to the game, but I've been recently hooked on to the game. My first notice of the game actually came from a poster on WSO and have now been challenging my friends to best one another.

For those who play, what's your score?

For those who do well, what's your strategy?

For those who don't, better get on it and post your score.

SCORE: 16996

20324 for me.

My strategy is pretty much, right down right down right down until i can't do that anymore then left down right down right. Rinse repeat.

I'm just hearing about this game. Where can I try it out?

for those who are young, or young at heart, there is a pokemon version of 2048 online. I can't post the link because company blocks game related websites "uh-oh"

try it out, it's frustrating to guess which pokemon evolves to which (non-linear and random evolution ladder) so I revert back to the numerical version.

i'm not smart enough to do everything, but dumb enough to try anything

Hit 60k with 4096. I swear, every time I get to 4096 I end up having to shift it out of its corner and get a block wedged between it and the side. Kills my game every time.

That's what would happen to me soon after hitting 2048. How many times did you hit 4096?? I couldn't tolerate the game once I reached 4096. Maybe this is how Bateman begins.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Awe man. I mainly played this game at work, and now because of this thread I was going to play it again... but now it's blocked by company policy! I think they're on to me!

Solved it couple of weeks back....really good fun but takes over your free time...points are secondary...main task is to get to 2048. I scored 20192 I think..

The strategy I used is to keep the big blocks in one corner so that the little 2s and 4s eventually flow into it smoothly. and no matter what, dont move the biggest block off the corner..

I am sure there are better ways to solve but this one worked for me just fine!

Got 4096 twice. I never kept track of my score since i play on the desktop and it doesn't save (plus it's the number tiles that matter :) ) Has anyone won the 3D version?

Oh, my strategy is: Pick a side of the board (ex: right) and a corner of that side (ex: top right). Your primary move is towards the side (right) and your second priority move is to the other side of the corner (up). If you can't move in either of those directions, then move the opposite direction of the secondary move (down). ALWAYS TRY TO AVOID MOVING AWAY FROM THE PRIMARY SIDE (ex: avoid moving LEFT).

The largest numbers should be in the corner and remainder of the side in order of size(ex: 512, then 256, then 128, then 64 on the right side) and in general, you should pad your corner with large numbers (NEVER want a 2 or 4 up close to your large numbers, these should be on the outside getting bigger).
