4th of July Workload

Just had an associate tell me that he's pumped for the upcoming holiday because it will give him and I an opportunity to push our deal forward without too many interruptions which is hilarious. I'm just trying to check the pulse on the street to see how much work people are anticipating on the 4th itself. Also, if anyone has any horror stories, let me know.

Back when I was in banking as a junior, I once took off the whole week for the 4th which included dads bday, gf bday, brothers birthday, and a concert for a semi pro nyc orchestra I was a part of that was finally happening since covid canceled it for 2 years and I told them 6 months in advance. I had never taken vacation at the firm in my time there. Obviously I was told I couldn’t take that time off the week before because a well known deal we were pushing to the finish line and in between intermission of my concert I was updating a deck. Sucked
