Advice for a Summer Monkey?

I imagine that I am opening myself up to all kinds of interesting feedback but here goes. I am going to be doing a summer internship at a BB in New York this summer and wanted to see if anyone can tell me what I could be doing now to be best prepared to do well?

I disagree with unct91 here. If you currently sleep a lot in school, you should start training yourself to function on 4-6 hrs of sleep per night, if you're doing IBD. Network with as many people at the firm as possible so that you can get a good handle on office politics; you don't want to be shocked once you get there. You want to have full-timers on your side even before starting. They will come handy as informal sources of info and can help you get that coveted FT offer. To be frank, NYC can eat the uninitiated alive. If you don't plan on paying attention during training, maybe think about doing a prep course or picking up a prep book for Excel.
