Apple's Answer to Amazon Echo Announced. Will This Work?

Apple today released its own voice based Artificial Intelligence speaker for smart home. Its going to be an answer to Amazon's Echo and Google's Home. The price tag for Apple's new Homepod is $350 and will be shipped on December later this year. In contrast, Amazon Echo and Google Home is $180 and $110 respectively.

Taking into account strength and weakness of Echo and Home, Apple Homepod will have superior sound quality that can satisfy high standards of audiophiles. Homepod won't have an ability to order things on Amazon by voice like Echo or answer questions like Google Home does. However, like Echo and Hone, Homepod can answer basic questions and control other devices such as smart bulb, smart thermostat, and others in addition to playing tunes via Apple Music.

I hear Smart Home space is slowly becoming a batttle ground for biggest technology companies. What do you guys think of Apple's Homepod?

New Homepod can come off as more stylish than Echo and Home. Check here for an actual image https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&s…

Apple seems to be pushing the Homepod as a high quality speaker more than anything, while the other features are just a bonus. Also probably geared more towards audiophiles and apple enthusiasts considering the premium on it compared to the Echo and Google Home. Don't think it's too stylish either just a simple cylindrical block, the white one could be mistaken for a roll of toilet paper lol
