"C.R.E. Shervin" There are 2 camps when it comes to bachelor parties, 1 is lake/golf/ski, 2 is party drink and or drugs.

Spot on. OP are you the best man or planning your own trip? The bachelor party is really about the groom. It doesn't really matter what everyone else likes/wants to do, the groom should be happy and comfortable with the plan and his buddies will just be happy to be a part of whatever that is. Some guys want to get wild and go do stuff all the time, other guys just want to hang with their boys and drink and golf or something. Do what you think the groom is most comfortable with and build a decent plan for the weekend around that.

I'm a big fan of what @C.R.E. Shervin calls "Option 1"

A blow out golf or ski trip at a high end resort that involves high end bourbon and expensive restaurants is way more fun to me than getting blacked out and throwing money at strippers, but maybe I'm just getting old.

I've done a lot of bachelor parties as the last of my friend group getting married. Scottsdale can be good, tons of golf and a good scene in Old Town that can be a real party. Didn't notice the old gay thing but perhaps SHB likes to hang out in spots i don't frequent. It has been some years but the W was a scene. Spring training is great there, highly recommended for a bachelor party.

I'm going to be having mine in Park City shortly, 14 dudes, one very large Airbnb, easy access to the slopes, hot tub, apres, and main st for bourbon, live music, and steak dinners.

Everyone's ultimate bachelor party is going to differ. It depends on what the groom is interested in, their budget, and what won't piss off the fiance (hopefully he found a girl who doesn't care). However, it ALSO depends on the 4-10 guys's interests, as they're going to come no matter what and you don't want to show them a bad time.

So here's a list sorted by what you want the trip to focus on:

I want to drink my face off, throw money at the tables, and hit the strip club -Best choice: Vegas -Budget option: New Orleans -Lite version / "I suck at planning": Miami

International, but close -Best option: Colombia (really hot right now) -Off the wall: Iceland -I want to re-live spring break: Cabo

I want to drink my face off, vibe at dive bars, hear some live music -Best option: Nashville -Depending on time of year: Austin

I want to drink my face off, but we're classy finánce bitches and love rosé -Best option: Hamptons -Alternative: Nantucket -The New Orleans of this category: Charleston

I want to ski all day and drink my face off après-ski -Best: Vail / Aspen -I'm just here for the skiing and whiskey: Steamboat -Avoid: Park City (my absolute favorite for skiing, but the night-life scene is non-existent, only 1 liquor store in the whole county)

I love to golf, and want to enjoy a fine glass of chardonnay and snif farts after 36 -Gay men: Scottsdale -Other: Monterrey -Plenty of other options, maybe plan around a tournament?

I like to do outdoorsy shit -I can't really help out here -The token WSO liberal recommends West Virginia. I'm sure your boys from NYC will all love that
