Not sure why there's so much hate for back office tbh. Feel like it's more of a prestige thing than $$.
Friend makes more in back office (100 base, 25% bonus) than many people I know do in corp dev with the same 3 years of exp and works way less hours. I guess the salary progression doesn't go up as much the more you stay there though, and caps out pretty early unless you get a J.D.
These roles actually pay fairly decently. Not always on bonuses necessarily but bo/mo roles often have the same base as front office depending on which group they’re in
