Best Dog/Cat breeds

Want to adopt a cat/dog in my final year of uni, I'll still be able to do daily walks/care and personally think it'll be good for me as I'm a homebody. By the time I start as analyst 1 they would be 8m-1y old, I'd rather be living in an apartment downtown next to a park or with parents (more space & backyard).

Does anyone have experience with a pet in analyst years? Is it a completely bad idea? Any breed recommendations?

Agree with above, do not do this. Terrible idea. Wait until you are out of the analyst years. Your animal would be completely unsocialized and alone all the time. Doesn't matter if they are a year old, you'd be giving them an awful life with no time to care for them. Shop around for breeds now and get one when your life is more settled.

If u have plenty of energy you should choose a Bengal cat. I had one for more than six years. They are very smart and playful. They will keep you busy for most of the time , and most of all they will bother you at their will. Not to mention that they are a beautiful breed with a leopard type of Fur, and you will be surprised how fast they can learn mostly anything a dog does.
