For the Lenovo x1 carbon, which gen do you recommend? I'm seeing gen 11 and 12 on their website (maybe gen 10 is sold somewhere else?). Also, what are the standard specs (i5 vs i7, IR vs FHD camera, etc) that ppl recommend on the computer?

 

+1 on X1 Carbon. Very sleek, lightweight, and durable. Uses Windows OS so can use macros on excel and ppt as opposed to Mac OS. Friend at college has an X1 Carbon and sometimes I regret getting a macbook…

 

how much are these and is it doable to get an older one? only ones I can find are the newest gen which are quite expensive

 

They frequently go on sale for huge discounts, but you can probably find an older model. I see on Newegg there is a $520 offer for a refurb model, so like new. 16 gb as well so no issues around MS suite programs
