Blanket advice

Haven't originated a post on here so I figured I'd start off on a good and crotchety note.

Stop asking "Is there still hope?", "Am I screwed?", etc. The underlying implication of questions framed like this results in an automatic "no" and "yes", respectively. Its not that there isn't a path for you to success, its that your question is framed as if you are holding your effort hostage with a ransom of a stranger on the internet giving you permission. You aren't asking for hope or if you are screwed. You are asking "is it worth working hard anymore?".

Ask a better question.
