USED BMWs are pieces of shit and depreciate like @bobkindel" chances of making it into investment banking. It's because people who buy them cant afford the premiums and they end up selling the fuckers fast. now multiply that by thousands of fucking Americans and you have a shit ton of BMWs. According to fucking economics, the pieces of shit BMWs drop in price since there is an excess supply of the BMWs no the used car market.

428i is also the bitch of the m4, so that's why it's so cheap. It also has a tiny ass 2 liter engine (i4) with a shit turbo

Christ, I sure hope you don't work in finance, I can barely read this abortion of a post.

What evidence do you have that used BMWs are "pieces of shit" - I own two. I'm curious how many you've owned.

The 428 is the pretty much the base model, entry level coupe. It is the brother of the 328 which is simply it's 4 door counterpart. The car is great for reliability and comfort, with the M-Sport package it is also very fun to drive but do not expect it to be too fast, the 335 is where you get twin turbos and 300~ hp. It's a good choice for a daily driver! All BMW's depreciate just as badly as their Merc/Audi counterparts. It's just how it is when you have updates every year and a face-lift every few years.

This is my favorite thread.

I really like the M4.

it's great value to be honest. yes the depreciation sucks, but that's true of all new cars. Get one model year back or just lease it (what I do because then you don't have to fuck with extended warranties, feeling bad for upgrading etc.) 4 series looks amazing, drives really well, and is fast and comfortable enough. Need the packages though, so the price will be significantly higher than MSRP. Cheaper because most people want the bigger engine or luxury packages.

Have had a number of BMWs (M3, 328, 335, X3) and all of them are pretty amazing cars. There is something about the way they drive and they way they are designed that just sets them apart.

who buys a bimmer thats not an M3/5/6 or X6? honestly ill take a volvo suv with all the fixins

Instead, I'd get the jag xe with the supercharged 3 liter engine. It looks particularly good in a metallic red, and the exterior styling offers more curb side appeal than the 428 (which are super common in my area)

The downside to the car is tech and interior quality. If you prioritize these things, the 2018 A4 should be a top choice.

I wouldn't get a Jag due to reliability issues - I know someone who has a newer model XE and that thing is always in the shop having something fixed with it. Could be driver error, but it isn't uncommon to hear of that stuff with Jags.
