Bonus Bananas July 19, 2013

1) Sweaty Wall Streeters Skip Booze for Spin-Class Meetings (Bloomberg) - You losers make me sick...

2) Bank of England suspects traders of bond-rigging (BBC News) - The next big story out of London. First LIBOR, now this. When are the fixed income kids gonna learn to play nice?

3) The Future of Money: A Global Currency? (Money Choice) - Well laid out infographic on what a global currency would look like, the impact of speculation, and the effects of inflation.

4) This Is Litecoin, The 'Silver' to Bitcoin's 'Gold' (SF Gate) - Speaking of alternative currencies, when BitCoin gets too unwieldy, Litecoin is here to take up the slack. Somebody alert the Winklevi.

5) The Truth About Taking Vacation On Wall Street (Business Insider) - If you're an intern or a first-year anything, you can go ahead and skip this one. For the rest of you, here's a few hints on how to get a couple weeks off and a lighter workload when you get back.

6) Inside The Massive Global Black Market For Smartphones (Huffington Post) - Here in Paris, thieves covet your smartphone even more than the cash in your wallet. It might surprise you to learn, however, that one of the global hubs for fencing stolen smartphones is lovely downtown Detroit.

7) Apple Sued For Porn Addiction: Man Says MacBook Cost His Marriage And Kids (International Business Times) - So much delicious FAIL in this story. Seriously, how hard up do you have to be as a lawyer to even file a suit like this? He needs to look on the bright side: now that the wife and kids are gone he's got a lot more time for porn.

8) Gov't Bureau 'Creating a Google Earth on Every Financial Transaction,' Senator Warns (CNS News) - I hesitated to post this one just because the source is such a nutbag tinfoil-hat organization, but this Senator actually said it, so here it is. While I suppose it's theoretically possible, does this stuff even surprise anyone anymore?

9) The world's largest yachts 2013 (CNBC) - Rising Sun is still my favorite, just because it looks so yacht-y with its teak decks and all. Yas looks like it just ran a 100-yard dash in a 90-yard gym. And Azzam is just ridiculous with that size and speed.

10) Man has $18K sex doll made in ex’s image (Asbury Park Press) - Anatomically correct in every detail but the vocal cords. Dream girl.

Video of the Week

Everyone knows that Walter White is just days away from coming back to life on the small screen, so I thought I'd share an extremely well done re-cap to bring you up to date on all the previous seasons in just nine minutes. Enjoy:

That's it for this week, monkeys. Let me know what you think about this batch of Bananas in the comments, and have a ridiculous weekend!

1 - I know I'm not allowed to say "that's gay" anymore, but that's gay. 8 - agree about CNS news, I've found myself wanting to link articles from that site 2-3 times but its a wee bit nutty.

Thanks for the currency links, gives me something to read up on this weekend.

1 oh my fucking god you ny market guys are a bunch of fucking fags... Unbefuckinglievable

Who the fuck meets up at 5 am as well that's insane

1 - At least dwarf tossing hasn't gone completely out of style. Geez, at least lift some weights. Disclaimer: I'm in the gym at 6:30AM 3 - inevitable, but a logistical nightmare at this point. Who's going to run it? Greece? lulz 8 - they're just making legitimate what they've been doing for probably a few decades at this point
Get busy living
