Book Recommendation

For an upcoming assignment, I have the opportunity to read one of the following books. I enjoy classics and am having a hard time choosing between them, any tips?

  • Dead poets society
  • The Great Gatsby
  • The song of achilles
  • The secret history
  • Farenheit 51

Currently leaning towards dead poet society.

I haven't read The Secret History, but have read everything else. They are all enjoyable to read, although The Song of Achilles is the furthest in the list from a classic, but seems to be popular amongst many right now (historical fiction with LGBTQ+ perspective, I thought it was a good book, not great). Out of all of them, Dead Poets Society was my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of them! I suggest just doing a quick google search and reading a one to two sentence synopsis and picking from there.

Thanks for the reply! Apologies for confusing The Song of Achilles with a classic, trying to read more in general as I don't really do so at all.

Any other book recommendations? I've ordered Dead Poets Society and would like to read a new book every two weeks starting next week. I've currently got my eye on Storm of Steel by E. Junger.

I read The Song of Achilles after this girl I was trying to get with recommended it to me, but didn't tell me in depth what it was about. Tbh, it was actually pretty enjoyable for the most part.

Fahrenheit 451 was pretty boring imo. They made a new movie about it with Michael Shannon and Michael B. Jordan, but apparently it wasn't that good.
