Broke in from a non-tradtional background but self doubt is killing me

So I was a transfer student, non target, got a FT role last year without doing a summer analyst stint. Honestly it was a ton of work; learning how to talk to business professionals, studying for interviews and being rejected, eventually made it to a good group. But now that I'm here, even ~7 months in having ramped up on certain parts of the job, feel lost in the weeds when it comes to working on operating models, and feel self doubt when talking to others in our firm/on the other side of the table that all went to T15 schools, have top MBAs, etc. It's like every day is a battle, and through the battle I am growing, but at times it feels like 1 step forward 2 steps back.

Congrats.  Screw all the imposter syndrome stuff, I want to know more about how you managed to lateral the way you did.... Did you do tons of cold-emailing?

Thank you man. Cold emailing and calling was the starting point, cast a wide net and started going more directly to senior bankers. Found a few through that liked the way I talked/my story and got in to a few processes that converted in to 2 offers; ended up in the right city and group. It was a climb but it's not over yet, PE recruiting is like the same thing all over again but somewhat harder.
