Psych was one of my favorite USA series
This was a go-to in 6th grade
The HBO comedy shows are just so good. Silicon Valley, curb your enthusiasm, eastbound & down, righteous gemstones, barry, how to make it in America... Obviously always sunny and arrested development are great, but I assume you’ve checked those out already. In terms of actual similarity to Brooklyn 99 (but IMO kind of smaller brain sitcoms) = parks and rec, 30 rock, community, new girl... but if you’re actually looking for a cop show that’s funny: Reno 911, sirens (netflix), and Angie tribeca.
Silicon Valley was one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen, highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it

Highly recommend Veep on HBO too. Shows the ridiculousness that Silicon Valley made fun of - but in Capitol Hill - and easily just as funny.
Good call, not sure how I forgot veep. Consistently laugh out loud funny.
B99 too preachy in later seasons
I agree, I don't think those comedy writers had the tools to discuss those deep topics in a powerful or meaningful way
