Can we concede that all jobs are pretty awful?

I've seen a lot more moaning on this site than usual lately about tech jobs and finance jobs and which one is better.  Personally, I think ALL jobs are bad, regardless of pay.  I've had tons of jobs since I was 15, and if I didn't need the money, I wouldn't have taken any of them, including my current role.

Not sure if anyone else is with me, but I live as cheaply as I can possibly tolerate so I'll be able to exit this toxic rat race before 40, so that I can find out what I want to actually do with my life that isn't predicated on money.

Hope you guys are at least moderately happy, wherever you are in life.

How about artificial intelligence or machine learning?  I had a lot of fun making target recognition AI for the military last summer.  It's very interesting which is why a lot of CS majors are going down that route.

I tend to agree. I even started playing poker full time in 2015 and started to really hate the game and I got insomnia and had to back off a bit.

I’ve only had one job I really loved when I was in NYC, but would have to anonymously disclose - can’t say it on here. It was a great gig though.
