Can you tell the difference between a 6 and a 10??
I can't tell you how many times I heard someone say "she is a solid 9", "she is a bombshell 10", and then found out it really should be a 6 or 7.

Beauty is subjective. What looks a 10 to me might be a 7 to you. IMO Blake Lively is more beautiful than Ivanka, but she isn’t a 9. Another example, Ive never found Angelina Jolie to be as stunning as everyone says she is, she’s still beautiful just not all that IMO. Guys often grossly inflate ratings and most girls end up in the 6-9 range. If you think about it, that’s pretty high and most people likely aren’t in the upper bracket of appearance.
Of course looks are subjective so everyone will rate differently but the guy rating every girl a 7 probably doesn’t have very particular preferences and would settle for most girls, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing either.

I don't necessarily think it is a race thing, but it does play a role. The Western countries still have majority White people (especially if you account for Europe).
More settled now in life - but honestly, if I had met a beautiful black/brown/(any other race) girl earlier in my life - I would have gone out with her. But the likelihood of that scenario just isn't very high if you grow up in White countries with White friends and White colleagues. Religious aspects also have a say in this (chances are the people in your place of worship look like you).
But I have to admit that race plays a much bigger role in dating than elsewhere. Among hundreds of friends I have in multiple countries, I don't think I have ever heard that any guy would be willing to date and/or marry a black woman. there are mixed-race marriages and relationships, but black/brown doesn't seem like a possibility for many reasons unknown to me (guessing it is family values, religion, society, and more).

Scale is fucked. You need to use a normal distribution homies. My only hard and fast rule is that you can only be less than a 2 if you're fat. But the image with the two chicks are not above average. high 4 to low 5 at most lol. Ivanka is definitely more than 1 standard deviation from the mean in terms of attractiveness. Std. deviation on a 10 point scale should be about 1.5 if you wanna capture the whole population so Ivanka should be about 7-8 at a minimum. Blake lively might be a tiny bit more attractive but not that much so solid 8.

There are very few 10s out there.
I can only think of a few off the top of my head. There is a big difference between a 10 and a 9 in my opinion. 9's are any beautiful women that have achieved peak beauty standards. But in my book a ten has to have something else other than just a pretty face, they have to be successful in other ways.

Thing is there's so much make-up on her there's no saying how her face looks in real life. Although to be fair, most comparisons on this thread are also based on photos with heavy make-up. On a proforma make-up adjusted basis, sure she's a 9. Once you strip away all the shit, probably closer to a 7.
And also: it is far more difficult for a woman to be perceived as "attractive" through a 2-dimensional, digital channel than in real life. the women we see on social media, dating websites and youtube are losing their IRL advantage of 3 dimensions (plus pheromones, character, personality, etc). Therefore the "extreme" outliers with extreme looks (ie curves), makeup, dress code etc have more clout. ("attractive" hear means the superficial variant based on looks, since that is mostly all we see through IG et all). I had dates with online-9s that looked really different IRL.

A lot of the disparity comes from different points of reference. For instance, I have a good friend who is substantially less successful with women than I am. He consistently rates every woman we see substantially higher than I do (I joke that to adjust to his scale I should just add 1.5 to everything). I think this is due to the fact that in his "universe" of women, an "objective" 8 is about as high as he'll ever go, therefore he inflates her rating to a 9-10. A theory that I can't prove is that this is broadly applicable - men who are less successful with women rate all women as more attractive, and those who are highly successful rate women as less attractive (relative to a mean).
This is quite the opposite from what I’ve seen with some bros IMO. A lot of the ones that don’t get lucky often are by far the pickiest ones with women, and I think it stems from maybe bitterness from not getting pussy or trying to convince themselves the “grapes are sour.”

If you're a sig chi bro whos evaluating a new kappa chick yes you might be able to come to a consensus with regards to how hot the chick is based on everyone's opinion. And I get that the group opinion sways the majority most of the time but picture yourself without that counsel, you're more likely prone to rate the chick higher or lower based on your real opinion. And through my convos with the girl that seems to be a pretty common thing with chicks too. At the end of the day, you'll easily be able to decide intrinsically who factors as an awful broad or a 10 in your mind based on your preference.
