Champagne Problems

Newly minted A2A lateral about 2 months into my new shop (MM NY) and I (mid 20sM)am 100% sure there’s a VP (mid 30sF) in my group that wants to fuck me.

At first thought she was just being overly nice for generally welcoming/onboarding then at a team happy hour few weeks back mentioned my neighborhood and ofc she lives half a mile away. Later that night she’s leaving the bar alone and asked if I wanted to walk back together cuz “we’re so close”, politely declined thinking that’d be the end of it, but no. Thinking she grabbed my personal phone number from the team roster and has been blowing up my phone with nondescript deal texts from her personal phone cuz her “work phone is being buggy” and conveniently transitioning into casual messages around 8/9p and last night asked if she could come see my furniture layout cuz she’s “thinking of redesigning”

This is a tricky situation here cuz while I’m not taking it further physically (I have a gf) this VP is feeding me deals in a notoriously sweaty group. Thinking I can ride it out a few more months until she loses interest/finds another toy/I’ve made headway with other seniors to staff adequately so now the question becomes- how can I continue to flirt with her in the meantime while not doin the deed without her getting pissy?

Thinking the input from the ladies here will be invaluable (sadly), all options (expect one) are on the table.

Op here - 5’6-5’8, tan w/fair figure, but can def see age in the face

Given that you’re new and she outranks you, probably a good idea to record as much of this as possible just in case it turns sour.

No advice on flirting but maybe purposefully bring up your girlfriend in front of her, should get the message.

Be perfectly friendly but nothing more. Deliberately flirting/leading her on is only going to cause problems later down the line (both at work and likely in your relationship).

Plus if women are into you they’ll read into you being friendly as you being interested anyways (I am a woman) and absent an explicit rejection, she’ll probably continue thinking she has a chance for long enough.

Acoid activeoy encouraging, but also try to avoid actively discouraging her for as long as you can.

See how long you can play the push/pull flirting game — make her obsessed with you. Put your hand on her shoulder one day and then the next day act dry to her, etc.

Keep that up for a few weeks until she’s wrapped around your finger. Then, ghost her for a few days. Then come back even harder. Go back to mixed vibes and do that as long as possible and keep getting sweet deals/work flow. Good luck king.
