Compliance/Accounting transfer to IBD?

Got 2 offers. 1: financial service institute's agency as a compliance officer (sponsor series 7,24,66). 2: mid-sized bank as an accountant.

My plan is to transfer to the mid/back/irrelevant office of large banks in 1-2 years, then start working towards networking to FO over the years/attending business school.

I searched online and found people tend to say compliance is impossible for getting into FO while accountants have some kind of transferable skills. Compliance job sponsor series 7 which an old banker told me would be needed in IBD tho. I need some advice here. Thanks in advance!
