That's absolutely true. I've got friends working in Fashion (data analytics for a luxury brand) and Music (account manager for a major label) and they get obliterated by the comp/working hours ratio.

The Film Industry.
My friend studied screenwriting at Brooklyn College. He has put out multiple small works. He sent a script to me years ago and asked me to mark it up. So I got a red pen and went to town. I sent it back to him and he was pissed at all the markups I did on his script. We don’t talk that much anymore haha.

Regarding your Ag comment, there’s a ton of action in seed tech and research right now. Not sure it’s at M&A scale right now but there’s plenty of work in startups and early-stage type companies.

Grew up in an are known for cannabis cultivation and know many individuals that either grew up in the industry or went in to it and I can tell you there is nothing glamorous about it.
Well, I love everything about the industry. It is medicine to help the people. Cultivating the best strains is an art and a science.

For me, anything related to healthcare IT (B2B businesses, I do not find B2C health tech / IT an interesting space to work - way too saturated of a market and B2B models tend to have a lot more complexity to it which I enjoy).
You think healthcare IT is cool? That might possibly be the least sexy field out there
To most it would be but I really like it.
High demand, High skill industries.
If you're good, you get to call the shots and join groups that you want to join/create them.
If you're mediocre, you get exploited but still get paid well.
If you're dumb, don't even bother.
The pay isn’t great but working for an airline is a blast. Interesting work and free or cheap travel nearly anywhere is a fantastic perk.
Very cyclical. But at the post MBA level, they pay lower than a lot of others companies but their travel perks are second to none.
Fish & Game / Wildlife Management / Land Management. Would be pretty cool to be a fly fishing guide in Montana or manage a large hunting preserve somewhere.
