there has been virtually zero correlation between policy and covid outcomes and (as we've pointed out to you several, several times) there's a bigger correlation between ethnicity and vax status than ideology and vax status. If people feel they're at risk, they should get vaccinated. It's not DeSantis's fault that people aren't doing that.
also, defending civil liberties was more important than implementing ineffective policies a year ago and it's still true today.
Also, keep in mind everyone is coming to Florida to vacation and go out because it is one of few places that is open. I am a local and places have been slammed as if it is the peak seasons (October - December) because of pent up demand
Yeah, I vacation to Florida pretty regularly and both this past summer and the summer of 2020 were unreal in terms of how many vacationers and tourists were there

The paper and cloth masks don't work. A number of studies/analyses indicate that only N95s provide material protection. Most masking is just for show.
Even setting aside mask efficacy, the vast majority of the nation is not under a mask mandate, so it doesn't explain the spike in Florida relative to other states. Y'all can't explain it or you choose not to explain it with the most obvious reasons--tourism and heat.

And the delta variant is going wild among younger people who are unvaccinated, especially in smaller counties, and is causing that 800,000 to drop dead. DeSantis still won't have any restrictions to own the libs even though his state is going wild.
