A bit confused on what exactly you're looking for. Commercial banking and PWM at JPM are completely different, and you also mention exit ops. Exit ops to what?

The commercial bank may give you exposure to some IB coverage and likely a lot of exposure to the LevFin group if you wanted to transition to that route. You can find plenty of LinkedIn profiles of kids that started in the commercial bank and moved to LevFin. Other exits could include private credit, direct lending, or other credit focused/origination asset managers.

PWM at JPM is not stellar for exit ops. If you are placed in Investment Solutions within JPM PWM, your options are slightly better as the role is much more technical than the regular PWM banking teams, but still not great if you are looking to do anything besides PWM. Maybe could do BD or IR at a buyside firm or join a family office, but likely going to have to go to grad school to do something else within finance.

Not interested in IB, mostly just wanted to know if it would be possible to move from commercial banking to PWM

Are you diversity? Non-diversity here. Got the hirevue but no superday Invite yet... :(
