Director lacks ambition and focus, how do I present myself and my work to the person above my director without causing friction?
I'd imagine I'm not the first person in this situation. It's clear to me that I will not be able to achieve what I want to achieve within a reasonble time by working in the bubble below my current director. I am also cautious of reaching out to parties vertically and can see how that can create trouble.
Any experiences?
