Do guys prefer girls who have a more feminine personality or a more masculine one?

I would really like to know if guys find that stuff attractive and what they generally prefer. I get everything has preferences but I'd like to see if it's a popular opinion.

what I wanted to know from the guys is: Is it a turn off when a girl talks/acts like a guy? Should girls stick to more feminine things such a feminine style like lots of jewelry, always has her nails and hair done, wears dresses and heels often?

I'm not sure what you mean by masculine or feminine personalities; I think most would agree that they'd like the people they're dating to be working somewhere or on something (education, career) and driven/passionate to some degree bout their work. I like a woman who cares about her physical and mental health within reason. Such that her appearance/social media doesn't overtake her entire personality and she has hobbies or things she likes to do outside of that. The divergence can come from how she (or a guy) spends her/his time - whether they like socializing with friends, going hiking, playing sports/joining a sports team, staying in and watching Netflix or playing board games, etc.

I think the bare minimum anyone would expect is some level of independence/responsibility - pays own bills, does chores, takes care of her/his self physically/mentally.

I also have a particular type of humour - so I find it amazing when the person I'm speaking to gets my jokes (or pretends to laugh and I can't tell the difference).

What kind of a question is this? Do straight men prefer to be in a relationship with someone with the personality of a woman or a man? Really burning the midnight oil to answer that one?

It is kind of funny in a way.  Who is going to say I prefer girls to be masculine?

I prefer my chicks with dicks like a real man should.

Traditional feminine woman. What the hell is even this question?

I take the same approach to my dress/appearance. I never wear cargo shorts and a t-shirt or even sweats out and about.

What is wrong with shorts and a tee?  Unless I am at work, this is what I wear every day in the summer.

It's a complete turnoff if a girl talks/acts like a guy. Im attracted to women and want to date one. I personally only date girls who care about their appearance. They are a representation of me whenever we are together or apart, and personally, I take the same approach to my dress/appearance. I never wear cargo shorts and a t-shirt or even sweats out and about. Is any guy going to say he wants to date someone who's a slob in public? No

"I love it when my girlfriend acts like a man."

Said no straight man ever.

"My favorite is when she drills me in the ass."

Said people who ask these kinds of questions.

Quant (ˈkwänt) n: An expert, someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing.

Little bit of both. My rationale is, I want a woman who can protect the kids and raise them to be strong if I'm ever gone.

Dated some Swedish girls. They're perfect combination of both IMO.

Some of their attitude would be masculine in the US - "I open my own damn door", being very assertive and objective-driven, trying to pay for the food, constantly trying to stay on the side of the pedestrian walk that's closer to the road, telling me I can cross now after a car just passed through on a rainy day, generally being lazy about appearance, being taller than me....

Some very feminine - her telling me about this stupid thing she did when younger and blushing at me telling her "that's kinda cute", just being freakishly good looking despite lack of care on appearance, obsessing over cute cat pics...

Yes now you know what my type is...

Seriously highly recommend dating Nordic women.

Have been very stress-free experience because they don't expect much from you besides being yourself. They'll like you for for who you are and communication is really easy.

One thing is if you're impatient then it might be tough cuz everything needs to be a consensus with them.

I'm sure not all Nordic women are like that but the behavior and expectations seems to be very culturally enforced.

I’m assuming this is coming from a woman. It goes like this: masculine men want feminine women, feminine (not to say they aren’t masculine as well, but the former prevails) men attract more masculine women, masculine women have a harder time dating because of #1. Sexual polarity.

From what I’ve seen, a more masculine woman could step into her feminine a lot more, but not always the case. Women in corporate leadership positions tend to be more masculine (it should be very obvious why.) They try to be the leader and the strong one in whichever relationship they’re in. Women who are naturally more feminine want to be led and so they don’t try to control the dynamic, etc. They’re focused on feminine things.

Is it a turn off when a girl talks/acts like a guy?

no, I like to be spanked and grabed by the hips while you lay me down on the kitchen floor (the place where I belong)

Should girls stick to more feminine things such a feminine style

no, dress like Bob The Builder and behave like Khal Drogo

I do like it when a woman is confident and pert, but that goes best with a generally feminine style, to have a nice contrast. See, a lot of guys think a tomboy is a girl with short hair who does sports, but this is a reversal of causation, since this style is only a consequence of their confident attitude, not their cause. That is why I go for the ultimate straight mans choice - former tomboys. Smart, funny, sporty, and able to take work into her own hands, that's what you want in a wife. Refute me, you literally cannot. Q.E.D.

...and the Truth shall set you free

Feminine, all the way.

SafariJoe, wins again!

A big issue with relationships today is you have society conditioning men away from masculinity and then females stepping into more masculine roles and so polarity can be missing which is the key to attraction. Yes I want a girl who is feminine in the sense that she wants to be led, respects me as a man and what I bring to the table. I don't want a masculine woman in the sense of trying to wear the pants. This is completely different than what you are interested in. You can be a feminine girl that likes sports and chilling with the boys and you can wear alot of jewelry and be masculine.

I don’t understand what is so hard to understand about this question. There’s a spectrum of femininity for a girl and op wanted to know where you guys fell in it. No shit no one is asking to get pegged by a 6’5 Amazonian woman, but you surely don’t want a girl that cries about every little thing, can’t do anything on her own, and/or can’t go without you for a second. So the question is where in the spectrum do you lie.
