A woman I was dating earlier this year REALLY liked me--she wanted to marry me. She had one of those personalities that just blurted out exactly what she was thinking. On a hike she just blurted out something to the effect of, "I REALLY love your personality. I don't date handsome men; I'm attracted to personality."

That pretty much says it all. Not the first time a woman has said something like that to me. It sucks, but there is freedom in accepting your lot in life.

Hey, it's better than not being handsome and also having a trash personality.

It’s not too bad. I have silver bananas to comfort me instead of people.

Yes but i need to shed some weight. One of my most attractive girl friends from back home told me honestly that im a good looking guy not but id be like super good looking if i slimmed down a bit (not being a dick, motivating me to get back into a good routine), so i kinda took that to heart and am getting back into it. Was good hearing that from a girl i obviously find hot than just one of my bro pals.

Dayman?

I've been on this forum for a while and know for a fact you fuck, pretty funny seeing all these other responses compared to yours lmao.

All the responses are solicited. It is not like everyone is randomly bragging about themselves.

I don't mean to fuck my own ass... but hell yeah. and it definitely has has helped career-wise. I would'nt be in the sector i'm in at the moment if it weren't for my old boss requesting I join her team.

Well, I feel a little uncomfortable about boasting about anything but I will make an exception for WSO.  Fortunately, I probably look about 20-25 years younger than my actual age.  A large part of that is hereditary but not all of it.  I have a full head of dark hair and blue eyes.  I am not tall but I am physically fit, especially for my age.  If I was single, I would be hanging with @Isaiah_53_5 but only if he were raise his minimum age to 21.   I am not sure if I would have the courage to hang with @pizz, though.

There have been studies that show that while men generally agree on who the most attractive women are, women often disagree about who the most attractive men are (based solely on looks when given a sample of photos to choose from).

This is partially because women have a much more holistic process with how they look at men. Looks are a factor but so are a dozen other things. Meanwhile men prioritize looks over everything else.

Chances are someone out there finds you attractive, even if you don’t have “conventionally attractive” features like a strong jaw line, full head of hair, whatever. Stay strong, kings

I’m sitting next to a chick who says I’m the hottest guy she has ever seen.

We are in an open relationship. She is Asian with huge fake Ds.

Light skin minority with pretty strong European-esk features that cater to standard male beauty standards. Not everyone's cup of tea but good enough for some. Definitely helped me career wise especially when older women interview me.Got into lifting out of HS when I had no sports to play so I developed pretty bad body dysmorphia which has been getting worse since I started in finance which hasn't left a lot of room for hobbies. The way you perceive yourself - for better or for worse - is not how others perceive you. If you think you're ugly, chances are there's at least someone in your life who disagrees and the opposite is true as well. Best to keep out of your own head about things that cants be controlled imo. Ik. Easier said than done.

Still lonely as SHIT tho hahaha

I wouldn’t say that I’m the best looking dude, but I really like the way I look in the mirror so that gets me going! When I feel fat and can’t move my bodies the way I want, I work out and get better. So not looking good enough also gets me going. I’m always going somewhere damn

I have like a 6/10 head, good jawline and face structure but I look retarded when I smile broadly and laugh. Something about how my cheeks and eyes crinkle.

But my body is like a 10/10. Like a less lean Jeff Seid. I've often pulled girls just because they wanna 'touch and feel'. If you're jacked you'll know.

Professionally speaking being jacked means you have way more physical presence and you subconsciously seem more authoritative to people. Can be a pro or a con. I personally feel my appearance has been a help for my career.

Yeah bro, this is kinda comments I like to read about. A back bone and can win no matter the odds. Keep it up!

Not ever guy needs to earn high $$$ to pull babes, yes it helps but there are other ways and if you do not know how to use these skills by now. I feel sorry for ya.

Below average / average woman here but I pull significantly more than many of my more attractive friends, which I suspect has to do with self-confidence / attitude.  My friends who are objectively more attractive than me (especially as another comment above pointed out, most people can better agree on who the most attractive women are versus who the most attractive men are) definitely have more insecurities than me, so I've always thought the fact that I'm so much more comfortable in my own skin has the effect of being more "attractive" in that sense, but idrk I'd be curious to hear others' thoughts

Probably like a high 7 out of 10. Definitely dont have a top tier face, but everything else in the package is solid (tall, muscular, low bodyfat, good hairline, etc.)

Can fire up an app like Hinge and get couple quality hundred matches (and I'm picky as hell myself) within a few weeks, and generally back in the office days would have a random girl ask me out like once a month.

That said I didn't have any lady success when younger lol it's incredible how much working out / lifting and grooming can do

Definitely value intellect. Dont get me wrong she has to be attractive, but dating an airhead gets old pretty fast. You have nothing in common with her or her friends - and 80% of the reason to get into a relationship is to have someone to do things with. If they aren't aligned to that from a lifestyle perspective then you're going to have a bad time.

No, during school/college I could not get any girls so I am probably not good-looking for a large portion of the female population. In real life, I find some hot girls that think that I am attractive tough. Hint: if you are not conventionally attractive try to find a niche of girls.

For the nerds of the forum, the dating market is not a perfect competition market, it is a monopolistic competition with differentiated products. Or maybe I am trying to improve my self-esteem, I do not know.
