How long are you willing to commute?
15 min ish walk or subway?
If u can find a roommate there are 2 bedroom units in Hillsborough Court that are nice, prob around 40k HKD/month split between the two. I’d try to get a 2 bed jus cuz 1 beds are so small (300sft or less) and the bigger common area is imo worth
If u do want a small place Artisan house is nice in Sai ying pun at around 20k for a 1 bed
Both are like 20min walk ish from central but are in good areas
I did a double take at 25k per month until I realized it was HKD haha
Not only that, I had to go look up the current USD/HKD rate for some kind of comparison.
lol kinda in line with nyc housing
Try tai koo/admiralty. Mid level is the ideal place to be in but 25k per month isn’t gonna cut.
Would say have seen a lot of analysts/younger finance professionals live in:
K-town: Manhattan, Imperial Kennedy
HKU: Novum West
SYP: 15 Western, Artisan House, The Summa
Mid-Levels (bit more expensive): Townplace Soho, Gramercy, Alassio
Wanchai: The Avenue, One Wanchai
I don’t think his budget is enough for living in any of those which you’ve just mentioned except for wanchai
You'd be surprised - rents recently have gone down significantly cause of COVID so there's some good bargains to be had with negotiations for Studios/1-BDs
will def check them out. but i heard mid levels has really bad access to public transportation is that true?
