Flawless logic from some people on this site

We must punish evil China for sending this horrible virus that is just the common cold and we don't need masks but Trump was a hero for wearing one that one time and God bless him for inventing the miraculous vaccine we're not going to take.

This could be done for either side. Everyone is retarded on the internet.

Or alternatively “The worst disease in human history that hasn’t contributed statistically to significantly more deaths than there normally would be, requires us to entirely shut down our entire economy and shelter in place, even after it has been proven to not be an effective method of preventing the spread of the virus, and also make restaurants shut down even though they are compliant with social distancing rules, but also definitely still pack airplanes full of people because those are totally safe, and everything will be saved once the all powerful, smart, intelligent, witty, coherent joe Biden personally discovers the vaccine, solves social unrest, saves the world, and reveals himself to be the second coming of Jesus.”

"I believe in science but there is only one way of handling this situation and I am not open to discussion about anything else even if the data changes thanks"

There’s no such thing as gender unless we’re talking about something women are better at

Hahaha the problem is people use political boundaries to denote geographically disparate to justify their racist philosophies (as if evolution cares that we drew a political line along some arbitrary river and call everyone to the west of that foreigners). Don’t think any scientist disagrees that sickle cell prevalence is higher in certain regions. Or that tendency towards adiposity is higher in regions that have monsoons

Democrats don't believe in science. They make the science. Any scientist who opposes them gets censored by the media.

By the looks, the amount of deaths in the USA this year is about the same as any other year despite the virus.

There's some indirect truth to this. A lot of how scientific materials get published in the US is very arbitrary and more based on personal relationships and bias. Peer review has been proven to be incredibly corrupted and politicized.

Haven't looked into it much, but kinda seems like we are on run rate. I think it makes sense due to the age group of those who are dying of COVID vs their life expectancy. In Italy at one point the average person who died of COVID was the same age as their life expectancy, not sure if that is still true.

Seems like the average deaths/yr in the U.S. is 2.8mm and this year we are at 2.8mm. Use the first link below to toggle years.

The real problem is that all sides have this "flawless logic" and people keep fighting over who's right (or who's worse).

Well, sorry to break it to you, but you're both fucking terrible. This is what's so wrong with this country nowadays. Too many triggered smooth-brains on both sides.

So sick of this shit. Makes me sad that people can't get over it.

I lost hope when Americans decided that wearing a mask violated their civil liberties. We have successfully politicized a pandemic, congratulations, golf clap to us.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I lost hope when Americans decided that shutting down churches, burning down cities, making special rules for favored big businesses and politically connected businesses, forcing the permanent closure of hundreds of thousands of "non-essential" small businesses, and creating arbitrary rules without scientific merit designed to inflict maximum pain for minimum return wasn't a violation of civil liberties. I further lost hope when a bunch of petty tyrants told people to "wear the damn mask" while flagrantly ignoring their own rules and mandates and instructions, and when getting caught, showing no genuine contrition, confirming that America's political class is loaded with useless, talentless, soulless sociopaths.

And about 60-70% of our cowardly generation enabled this vile behavior, demonstrating that the soul of America is dead, and it probably has been for a long time. Covid simply exposed our country for what it is.

A man who literally died to end African slavery in North America is now considered insufficiently woke as he didn't demonstrate enough concern for "black lives." Granted, this is the extreme left flank of the Democratic party, but what's ludicrous one day will be mainstream within a decade. Count on it.

I fully respect Honest Abe for what he has done, but he did not do it just to end slavery. You know that.
