Freshman GPA

So, unfortunately I had a very low freshman year GPA (3.0), for personal reasons that I have since overcome. At the end of my second year, I now have a bit above a 3.5, and should be on track to graduate with a 3.6/3.7 -- I have had no issue getting a 3.83/3.92 each semester now.

I know that that first year did sort of screw me, but given the huge discrepancy in my performance, would it be appropriate to break out my post-freshman year GPA? Would it even be necessary? I will have very strong internship experience by the time I graduate/am applying for SA positions. In my mind the ~3.88 that I am now achieving looks much better than the total 3.6-3.7 or so.

Thanks in advance.

An upward trajectory is always good. Also, there are usually less major courses freshman year, so you could break out your Cumulative vs Major GPA if you want. Hopefully your Major GPA is higher.

"episeph" just because in my mind the ~3.88 that I am now achieving looks much better than the total.
