Fucked my college life over BB offer
I thought college life was supposed to be it. You make friends, party, enjoy life- everyone has different perspectives but for me it was meeting new people and having new experiences. It’s now my last semester in college before starting at BB after grindin last summer, and now that I got everything I wanted - I feel like I sacrificed a lot during college socially. I might just be reflecting because of new years, but I just feel like a fucking loser for not living a little. Would love to hear if someone else also ended up doing what I did and what happens later?

Good that you got the offer, but if you had 0 chance for a social life you probably overdid it by a large margin.
Me too. I was so outgoing and social in HS but became the polar opposite in college so I can get an IB offer. I would’ve prioritized my social life for at least the first semester and chill about my GPA if I could do it all over again. Now I need to network again for group placement and get a return offer haha. I’m hoping being in the city will make up the social deficit
You'll be fine young grasshopper -- you'll be glad you grinded. In 5-10 years, you will realize how insignificant college parties were.
As someone who really experienced the world in his 30s (now approaching 40), I still feel a lot of the best is yet to come.
College and high school being the best time of your life only applies to those who peek in their teens / early 20s (and movies as someone above notes).
It’s nothing in the grand scheme of things as you will sacrifice your health and social life the next 20 years to make enough money to get your kids to private schools so they can get into BB/PE/HF/big law to end up at the same economic level as you at 45
If it makes you feel better, senior year second semester was the peak of my college experience. Basically everyone made an effort to party it up as much as possible in that last semester. Don’t even get me started on that last spring break trip. Make the most of this last semester and you’ll be peachy.
Early NYC days are also pretty fun. Your hours are going to suck (I did my IB stint in a sweaty GS/MS/JPM group) but you can definitely manage to get some going out done on a Friday night. Feels college-y with all the new grads and young people in general.
How do you think you would feel right now if you had partied all throughout college with a robust social life only to be bumming it up post-grad? I think you'd feel way worse than you do right now

I was only allowed to go out Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays senior year. Had a blast in college and got a good offer in DC then NYC and had the time of my life. If you can't prioritize working hard and going out, it's your own fault.
This. College is fun, no doubt about it, but don’t be an instant gratification monkey. The same girls partying in school will keep doing so after graduation; do you want to be able to afford keeping up with them?
