Summer ‘25 interns are getting ready to start. What are some funny/dumb things that you have seen interns have done (or maybe you have done as an intern)?

Based on the most entertaining WSO threads, here are some classic intern blunders that have left lasting impressions:
Oversized Dress Shirts: Interns showing up in dress shirts that are way too big, practically swimming in them. Pro tip: Make sure your clothes fit properly—tailoring is your friend!
Sewn Suit Vents: Forgetting to remove the stitching on the back vents of their suits. It’s a rookie mistake, but it screams “I’ve never worn a suit before.”
Fake ID Confessions: One intern actually told their mentor, “No, I’m not 21, but I have a fake ID.” Needless to say, that didn’t exactly inspire confidence or lead to any bar invites.
Questionable Company: Hanging out with the wrong crowd can get you judged quickly. Interns should be mindful of the company they keep—perception matters in this industry.
These moments are funny in hindsight but serve as great reminders to pay attention to the little details. Interns, take note and avoid these pitfalls!
