Ghosted by Referrals
This has happened a few times now where I’ll: 1.) See a FT opening, apply, and reach out to bankers 2.) Finally get someone on the phone, have a good call, and get a referral 3.) Get ghosted by the person to which I was referred.
How exactly am I supposed to get into processes if I can’t even get on the phone with people? Can someone provide insight?
Do you mind sharing how you're getting people on the phone? I've tried messaging on Linkedin and email and either never hear back or just get told to send my resume to them.
Only email. In my experience, people never respond to LinkedIn messages
Got it, thanks. Are you reaching out / getting responses mostly from junior or senior bankers? And if you don't mind sharing, what is the structure of your email?
For FT openings, I’ll usually reach out to only juniors. My intro email is below:
