Has anyone made real life connections off here?
Just wondering if anyone’s made friends or business connections on here before. Obviously we post anonymously but WSO definitely seems a place where you “could” make IRL friends/connections
I keep in contact with a few members on the side. I've met people on other finance forums, but not this one yet. I plan to attend the NYC meetup at some point next time I'm in the city.
What other good finance forums are out there?
analystforum.com used to be good, but it is dead now in the Off Topic (Water Cooler).
We had a big meetup in NYC one year. It was all the legends meeting up. We started at The Standard then went to Meatpacking. I just remember ending up at some place that was charging $30 Red Bull vodkas. lol f-ing NYC.
I would love to meet up with some you fools. Seriously, I told Isaiah Andy and Patrick want me to share my story and I told them I'd love to meet up with them in person at some point, could get a group together down the road. Would love that.

Met one of my now closest friends at a WSO event, plus some other nice folks where we lightly keep in touch (holiday wishes, etc).
Are we bringing back meetups in 2023?
Met a few folks here at a WSO happy hours and we still vaguely keep in touch, and have connected with a handful of guys via calls on some really specific topics and swapped notes. Still one or two I need to get a beer with when I'm in their neck of the woods.
