Health

Hey guys, lot of the juniors at my bank get absolutely demolished every Friday/Saturday. I love getting beers with the lads but was wondering how people manage health from drinking, low hrs of sleep, coke etc. Not just that but getting close to the associates and VP has significant advantage in getting on good deals etc

Hey there! It's definitely a challenge to balance work, socializing, and health, especially in a high-pressure environment like banking. Here are a few tips based on the most helpful WSO content:

  1. Moderation is key: It's okay to have a few drinks with your colleagues, but try to avoid overdoing it. Excessive drinking can harm your health and potentially lead to dependency issues.

  2. Prioritize sleep: Sleep deprivation can take a toll on your physical and mental health. Try to recover night sleep during the weekends. Even if you have to work, you should have more flexibility.

  3. Healthy diet and exercise: These are crucial for maintaining your health. Even if you're busy, try to find time for a quick workout and eat balanced meals.

  4. Limit caffeine: While it might seem like a good idea to drink lots of coffee to get through the day, it can actually worsen your anxiety and affect the quality of your sleep. Try to reduce your intake.

  5. Seek help if needed: If you're struggling, don't hesitate to reach out to a professional. There are resources available for those who may be struggling, including hotlines you can call when you need someone to talk to.

Remember, your health is important. It's okay to take a step back and take care of yourself.
