Help planning bachelor party in Nola.

So we're staying at the Ritz for the weekend about a block from Bourbon street - a good start but we're a really young group of dudes (the kid getting married is 24) and only a few of us have actually been to new orleans so I need some help from people that know the area well. We have a bit of time, the bachelor party isn't until august, but I'm of headmanning the operation because the best man is a piece of shit so I want to get our ducks in a row. One day activity we're considering is renting a boat to fish/drink. I need something better than just hitting the bars at night though ie. recommendations on strip clubs. Any thoughts at all on this are welcome.

At night, hit up Pat O's for hurricanes, tropical isle for hand grenades. All the strip clubs are right next to each other on Bourbon. During the day, you could also do cafe du monde for beignets. You could also do a crawfish boil, since it's in season. Either buy it freshly boiled, or if you feel like trying, buy the crawfish live and boil it yourself.

Buying live crawfish and boiling it yourself is going to be real tough if you are only in town for the weekend and are staying at the Ritz. If you do want to go that route, you should head up behind the Audubon Zoo (take Magazine Street to to West Drive and keep going 4-5 blocks until you hit the river). You can basically create your own tailgate back there for free.

For dinner, definitely check out Jacques-Imo on Maple Street. Awesome food in a chill location. They don't take reservations, but you can just grab some beers next store at the Maple Street Bar and they'll call your cell.

Not sure how far away you'd have to go, but one day-time activity could be a swamp boat tour or airboat ride. Honestly though, New Orleans in August is probably 100 degress and humid, so you may not want to spend a a full day outside. Your best bet may be to roam Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, etc. stopping in various bars for drinks, etc.

Quit being a pussy, its a batchelor party not a swamp vaca. The itinerary is simple, Burbon street. Bars and strip clubs. Just start on one end and walk in the same direction and stop in at every joint.

Its open container, so bring some koozies. In fact, get some custom-made for the occasion since it’s a bachelor party. maybe even get some for pounders because when I was there my friends and I just bought pounders or monsters (plus vodka) at a convenience store and cruised Bourbon until 5AM.

Hand grenades and hurricanes are all you need. Good luck making it out alive.
