Hemorrhoids in IB?

Recently completed my SA stint and accepted a return offer for a super sweaty group— frequent 3am nights and unprotected weekends

Problem is, my diet was garbage all summer and I don’t exactly eat all that great when I’m at school, and in the last six weeks I’ve developed a pretty brutal case of hemorrhoids. Like I’m talking can’t go more than an hour without using that numbing cream stuff

Given that this is absolutely unsustainable and there is no way I can start FT in this condition, what am I supposed to do about this? Should I try and find a different shop for FT that is more forgiving of frequent bathroom breaks? Is there like a surgery or something I can get to fix this? I already have enough trouble sleeping in this state, so there’s no way I can hit the desk and do consistent four hour nights

Any advice is appreciated

Why are you asking on here for medical advice? Just go talk to a doctor who specializes in treating in hemorrhoids and ask if surgery is an option (however, from my past experience with hemorrhoids, surgery is very painful with months of recovery). Also most hemorrhoids go away in 2-3 weeks with self treatment which you can easily look up. Anyways if you want to preserve your health in general then 4 hour sleeping nights in IB will obviously flare up hemorrhoids and other health issues, so I would try to find a different group or worst case a different division in the bank with lower hours. Also, request a standing desk.

Throughout my SA stint, I also ran into the same problem. Ended up investing in a Hemorrhoidectomy which was absolutely life changing. Downside however, was that I was unable to walk for the next 3 weeks and had to move around the office in a wheelchair. This led to many awkward conversations when asked about it by my team. I felt embarrassed to tell them the true reason behind the wheels, and came up with a story about loosing function in my legs due to sleep deprivation. Net-net if you have a good cover up story, highly recommend this alternative.

I am an incoming SA who has had hemorrhoids in the past. How can I avoid them flaring up during an SA stint?

Assuming OP isn't a troll . . .

That stuff is absolutely not normal at your age and goes way beyond the IB hours. You doing painkillers bro? You need a lot more fiber and water than what you have now and you need to cut back on any "recreational prescriptions" in your pocket.

Statistically in the entire population, hemorrhoids are extremely uncommon in the 20-25 year old age group, look it up.

Obviously, stress, lack of sleep, poor diet, lack of excersize, lack of water drinking, lack of fiber, sitting for very long periods of time, are all factors that can lead to hemorrhoids, which makes IB analysts much more prone to hemorrhoids than the average population.

Get a squatty potty and make sure you get up and walk for a few minutes every hour. Also, drink lots of water and eat oatmeal for breakfast.

When it comes to hemorrhoids in IB, just tell your colleagues this - verbatim - "My asshole hurts so, I'll be out for a couple days getting asshole surgery."

Change up your diet, ton of fiber and less processed crap. Drink some Keifer and the occasional spoonful of apple cider vinegar to get your gut biome rebalanced. If you want true h-roid relief you’ve got to stick some meds up your ass. Start with prep H suppositories. Then use the cream for the external bastards. If that doesn’t do the trick see a doctor and get the prescription stuff - procto foam is pretty amazing. Insert at night and you should feel better quick. Yes you will feel shameful but you will also feel less pain.

If you ever feel like there is a sideways stick in your colon then you’ve at minimum got internals and possible polyps. See a doctor for any blood, get that shit removed.

Drink plenty of fluids because you don’t want to have to pass a kidney stone at work. Trust me on this.
