How far does 300k go in SF? (Serious)
Considering a move to sf, just received an offer with tc 300-350k, moving from 200k MCOL. how far does 350k in SF go? how much do you end up saving? thanks

Depends how much you spend. On $300k you can live in a regular apartment, not have a car and save $120k. Or you can live in a luxury high rise and drive a foreign car and save $80k. This is something you have to run the numbers on yourself based on your lifestyle

I mean 200k mcol post tax is gonna Be 140-150k already. Cost of living doesn't scale exactly the same at every income level
