How has poor health affected your career?
What things have it made difficult or even impossible? Any unexpected benefits? Did it impact your choice of partner/opportunity that came up in your career/how you spend your free time, etc.?
Played competitive sports throughout college at a fairly high level and continue to exercise however I can, but due to some bad luck and some bad decisions, some issues had already caught up with me by the time I entered college. Out of college a few months now, and by the way things are going will need at least two joint replacements by early 30s and also already have chronic back issues. I regularly exercise however I can, though the pain and functional limitations won't be going away and will need to be managed.
I realize my conditions are far from severe or career-limiting (indeed, they might not even characterize "poor health" as per the title), but was curious of the different kinds of physical issues everyone has had to deal with on a highly ambitious career track.
