How often do you go out and how much do you end up spending on a night out? I wanted to compare my spending with others.
I go out once a week (Friday) and typically spend $120 ~ $200 (greasing the bouncer, taxi, drinks) depending on how generous I am feeling to my friends (most of the time, very generous because I end up getting absolutely destroyed)

It is a bit of a tricky question. I tend not to qorry too much about how much i spend. I am not rich, at all...lol...but I d rather go out less and just enjoy a dinner, or a cocktail or whatever, instead of going out every weekend and think about how much i d spend.
I try to keep it under $70.

subway round trip: $5.50 6 pack for pregaming: $10-12 entry to bar/club: $0 - $30 depending on if it's for a particular event drinks at bar/club: ~$30 I don't pay for other people's drinks unless they pay for one of mine first.

Abstract: Using a novel dataset of hedge fund manager automobile purchases, we show that, motivated by sensation seeking, hedge fund managers often take risk for personal and non-pecuniary reasons. In line with the sensation seeking view, managers who own powerful sports cars take on more investment risk but do not deliver higher returns, resulting in lower Sharpe ratios. Moreover, funds managed by performance car owners exhibit higher operational risk and are more likely to fail. Performance car owners demonstrate other attributes associated with sensation seeking, such as a preference for lottery-like stocks, unconventional strategies, and active trading.
While not exactly bottle service, I tend to think the tendency to buy sports cars and get bottle service are highly correlated!

Yeah, but it takes the bartender the same or similar amount of time to go and get a cup and fill up your seltzer than for a beer etc. So be considerate to the service being provided and at least throw a dollar down every now and then for the time spent on your $0 drink.

Networking doesn't only apply to the corporate world. Knowing the right people can save you money. Become a regular at one nightclub/bar in your city, and go mostly there. I get in for free, I get discounts for bottle service, my promoter introduces me to girls and buys me shots.

I usually drop 50 to 100 on dinner and 20/30 on drinks. But I don't do nightclubs anymore. Without "fuck you" money, buying bottle service or wine with dinner is wasted / for posers / very special occasions only. Girls buy 2nd round if they want my company. 3rd round is free, cause it's at my apartment :)
Pro tip: buy premium liquor / wine for the apartment and download Via for cab rides.

Those are a couple of things you don't need or at least shouldn't do.
Always try and keep total spend under £100. Maybe add on another £50 if it's a big night.
I didn't know greasing bouncers was still a thing. I like to avoid clubs these days, not worth it in my opinion.

Food: $25-40 Total: $85-180 (might hit the 180 number once a month, or will go all out (i.e. pay for majority of a table) if I'm celebrating something with friends)
I'm honestly confused when I hear about people spending $300 in a night unless they're either getting a table with people, or buying blow.
