How are you doing with levered ETFs?
I really wanted to buy levered tech ETFs in the bubble. Thankfully Vanguard idiot proofed their system and they don't allow you to buy levered products, and that saved me a ton of money.
I never used Vanguard but that's good to hear. It's down ~48% for LTM but overall earned me decent amount of money over last 3 years.
did you basically just do the hedgefundie thing (link to article)
Are you actively selling stuff - how much do you pay in cap gains tax? Personally I never formally "rebalance" but just adjust my split of new money going in, which will roughly rebalance. I would rather my portfolio be a few % off than pay anything in cap gains tax. You could do this allocation math in 30 seconds on Excel
Also, are you sitting in levered ETFs long-term? The daily MTM of these will really kill you over time...
