How realistic is "Industry"?
How realistic is Industry at portraying an S&T desk on the sell side? Seems insanely abusive and filled with drugs and nonsense. Is this just good TV or is there some truth to this?

Very
it catches some of the buzz words thrown around the floor and the general vibe imo. the drugs/sex is obv exaggerated but ive seen certain stimulants being used/light flirting between the analysts during my summer stint haha
It is both. There are a lot of exaggerated elements, but the core of the show is broadly representative of an actual trading desk
How about all the coke and psychadelics usage? Are people really doing lines and dropping MDMA at bars and clubs in front of colleagues?
As I said "There are a lot of exaggerated elements."
What do you think bro
Got it so within season 1/2 what exactly is Richi's role? Is he the only "trader" and the others are sales people?
The set up of the desk is kind of stupid in that they basically trade everything and are an expert on everything and the trading floor they're on is significantly smaller than a real one of a bank of Pierpoint's size. Rishi's role is a mishmash of what a real trader on a particular desk would do. But normally yes, salespeople outnumber traders, but probably not by the 10 to 1 represented on the show.
