How to make a difficult decision

I need to make a difficult decision within the next week.

Don’t want to bore with details but said decision will directly impact career, family, and relationships.

My question is: What is your process to making difficult decisions?

We are on an anonymous forum and you don't want to 'bore' us with the details to make a good decision. It's too vague to answer. But, I'll bite. I make all my hard decisions after a hard workout. Hit the gym and burn 2000 calories and pore over the decision.
