If you're worried about the future read this.

Hey,

I want to address anyone who might be worried, anxious, or stressed about the future. What you're going through is normal. Especially as many of you here are ambitious individuals. I want to share a bit of my story that might be of help to some.

I'll be 20 next month. I am not going to be an investment banker, I don't go to a target school, I didn't come from money, and I talk to some of the most successful people in the country on a daily basis. I don't just talk to them, I hang out with them, BS with them, get invited to their private events, drive their fast cars, and find opportunities through them.

How the hell does that work you might ask? I know how to talk to people. I am a nice person. I derive fulfillment from helping others succeed (reason I'd like to be a Private Banker).

The single thing I want you all to understand is that you need to cultivate your circle and fill it with awesome people. You also need to know how to relax. Some of the stuff I see on here just blows my mind! You aren't machines. Go have fun, go hang out with your friends, go walk your dog, go tell your mom you love her. You're going to die someday. Someday everything will end. I am all for creating success but create a life of balance please I beg of you.

Let me get back on track a bit. for those of you that are like me and worry about the future, worry about getting an internship, whatever it is you're worrying about let me tell you something. It'll work out. Yeah I know it sounds ridiculous but guess what if you believe in yourself, if you really want something, and you work hard for it, it'll work out. I am living proof. I'm a normal person and the things I have done in the last two years are crazy!!

But guess what I still fail. I didn't get the internship I was a top candidate for because I folded during my interview. I don't have a girlfriend because it never really works out. I deal with insecurities. I deal with the peaks and valleys like everyone else. Does that mean I am going to give up though? HELLLL NOOO! The bankers at the place that rejected me still reach out to me and offer to get me lunch or go play a round of golf. I'm on good terms with the girls it didn't work with. I am working on improving my insecurities.

Let me wrap this up because I feel like I am rambling. I am writing this to the person crushed by whatever sucky thing has happened in your life. You are going to make it. You're still breathing, you have food to eat, you have friends, there is someone that loves you, and you can make it out the other side.

I am nothing special and I have done some extraordinary things. You can too!

Stop comparing yourself to other people. Never lose only learn. Laugh. Smile. Love life and everyone you have the pleasure of experiencing it with. Be kind. Help those in need. Succeed. WIN.

We will all make it. Much love to everyone here I hope that your life is filled with incredible moments, special people, and not just spreadsheets.

I'll see you all at the top :)

Really nice to hear this man. I'm about your age and working my first soph internship rn and stressed outside of work hours even with networking and applying / getting rdy to apply for summer 2025 roles. I appreciate you!

Yes! It’s incredible truly. When I learned how to really hone my networking skills and demonstrate to people that I was coachable, driven, and positive it opened up so many doors.

In the end it will all be fine, and if it’s not fine, it’s not the end
