B-Com (Finance, possibly Finance + Economics) at the University of Melbourne. IB Intern in Sydney this summer at a bank that's a BB here but not yet BB elsewhere.

MCom (Finance) at University of New South Wales. I will be interning at a BB in Sydney this summer.

My undergrad is non-business (think Journalism) so bit of a change for me.

My plan is to work in M&A/ECM for a few years and then possibly work in Investor Relations / Corporate Finance in a big company.

Been in the industry for just under 3 years.. Did a bcom at Melbourne university

For the guys on here who haven't listed a location- are you in Sydney? For everyone who is, are you interested in trying to organise a meet-up sometime between December-February (during internships)?

Also, if anyone is happy to share more info, feel free- I'll be working at Nomura.

I'll be travelling till end of jan - then finding a place to live in Syd. Anyone got any recommendations on an area close to the CBD, but still with a decent nightlife etc? Going into this blind!

I'll be at GS btw. Would be keen on a beer for the hell of it!

In terms of close to city but not in the city, maybe consider Surry Hills? You can prob get a room for 300/week.

And for the interns - we will all have some project to present to MDs at the end of our internship. Any idea on what this may be? I'm guessing a proposed M&A, we do the model and the powerpoint as well.

I spoke with HR in Sydney, apparently the whole London intern thing has made HR a bit nervous so we may not be doing crazy hours here..

I'm also keen to meet up. My training starts 25 Nov and I will be at DB.
