Is 10 year name rule still a thing?

I recently started to network again and it has been one year since my graduation. Most of them are MD/Ds in BB. Do people still call others who are 10 years older Mr. or just first name? I sure feel strange to call someone in their 60s only first name over phone. Also, Calling them with Mr. seems has a higher ROI when you ask them to do something. What’s your take?

I agree. What about first time phone call? Begin with Mr. and wait them to instruct me to use first name?
