Is it bad that my career is my life?

Moved to a city where I know nobody for a great role. Have no hobbies outside of work. No friends. I am a very social person but just didn’t try to make friends when I moved here and then got used to being alone all the time. With this, I don’t really have any interests outside of my career. Trying to move to a city with family and friends. But now I’ve kind of become obsessed with my career even more since I’ve had no other real distractions over the past year.

Yes you should try to find some hobbies. Even just something you do for a few hours on the weekend counts. It's great you like your career but it's not sustainable to have literally nothing else going on and you'll eventually burn out. It's not always easy to make friends as an adult but if you get yourself out of the house and doing things even just a bit you can meet people naturally

I'll caveat this slightly if this work obsession being somewhat understandable if OP were trying to found his own business and really has to hit the pavement, but assuming that's not the case (and even if it is still), completely agree that having a life outside of work is important.
