It's time to abolish freedom of the press.

What is news? News is valueless, a collection of leftist liberal dogma. Especially in this day and age, news provides nothing. Written by life failures who call themselves “journalists/reporters” (the worst type of human beings), news is neither fun nor informative. There are so many ways we could better use our time compared to reading the news – Reddit, video games, etc.

Where does news fall in the grand scheme of things? The answer is that it ultimately has no place in society. While so many of us are working hard to change the world or provide for our families and loved ones, journalists are intruding people’s personal privacy, blowing up stories that aren’t necessarily significant, and painting people and organizations in poor lights. Think of how much power our news organizations have: the ability to completely defame people’s entire lives with a single story. Lawyer Aaron Schlossberg was probably having a bad day, and with one news story, his entire career (and ultimately, life) has been reduced to zero.

News was useful in the past, but it represents the wrong values today. Our modern media has created a massive sense of entitlement in our current generations, leading to a surge of lazy people, pseudo-intellectual students pursuing useless majors, homeless people, and entitled minorities thinking they are above the law.

Think of all the journalists and SJW liberals in this country. We have women wearing oversized sweaters with the first amendment spray painted over the front. We have teenage girls dressed half-naked yet demanding they are not seen as “objects.” We have massive mobs of criminals, homeless people, and illegal immigrants gathering in city squares disrupting traffic and the normal way of life, protesting for some idealistic form of “equality” and “fair government” (yet none know a thing about politics).

It’s time to silence the press.

It’s time to abolish michigan10483. What is michigan10483? It’s a profile of someone who is just a blatant troll or who says horrible stuff. He said truly racist Comments His posts and responses are neither informative nor funny. There are so many better places for him to post (reddit, yelling at kids on Xbox).

Where do his posts fall in the grand scheme of things? The answer is no place on WSO. Think of all the dumb posts he makes. I truly hope he is a highly advanced troll and not someone who truly believes what he’s been saying.

Okay, I’ll bite. The majority of the mainstream media is liberal-left. The right is mostly only rep’d by Fox. Both sides lie constantly, and only take on ‘approved’ talking points.

Chris Hedges (won a Pulitzer Prize) explains how the media lies constantly and how he got fired from the New York Times for telling the truth:

Is this what you actually think or are you being sarcastic?

Of course I do not believe everything CNN says. I think that for the most part, CNN is honest. I am sure they put their spin on it, though. CNN regularly has talking heads on their shows from the left and right. I can't take Fox News or MSNBC seriously. It seems like their primary mission is to disparage the opposite party.

http://www.series7examtutor.com

Just look at CNN's revenue before and after Trump came along. They've turned into the anti-Trump news channel and by doing so it has proven to be extremely profitable. They are capitalizing on the Trump anger, and fueling it further. They stopped reporting real 'news' years ago. Their coverage of the gulf war was a complete joke. They deliver what's commonly called 'info-tainment'. It's far easier to sell a narrative with good guys and bad guys, than it is to sell boring old journalism.

The reason that CNN reports on the president frequently is because his, at times, bizarre behavior, is newsworthy. I could give give you a list of hundreds of actions that a normal person would consider bizarre for a president but it would take too long.

http://www.series7examtutor.com

I am sorry, but this is bullshit. It isn't the reporting that is the issue, it is the endlessly biased and negative reporting. Watching CNN and you'd assume nothing Trump has done has worked or been positive, factually incorrect. The only way someone wouldn't see this is if they have a liberal bias.

CNN is flat out a fucking joke of a news channel. The pigs they employ highlight this clearly.

Acosta, Van Jones, Navarro, Blitzer, etc, all clowns pimping their cancer.

I get that you do not like CNN but you are lying about what they have reported. They have reported the good news for Trump. They reported on 4+% economic growth, the tax cuts, supreme court justices, etc. Unfortunately, his bizarre behavior is more consistent than his accomplishments.

http://www.series7examtutor.com

Well, a lot of the facts are negative. Reporting negative stories does not necessarily mean they are biased. A fact is not biased or unbiased. So many of his actions are bizarre. Let me give just one example: he stands on the world stage and supports Putin while throwing his intelligence community under the bus. It does not get any more bizarre than what happened in Helsinki. His behavior in Helsinki should make every American very concerned.

Trump - 80% negative

CNN - 93% negative

BBC is 74% negative and Fox is 52% negative. WSJ is 70%. So I will say a good baseline should be around 70%. CNN is way above normal.

So no, don't give me that shit I am lying about CNN. They are endlessly biased, negative or outright misleading.

Are you serious right now? Even taking those statistics at face value, by your own logic Fox News is just as biased FOR Trump as CNN is AGAINST Trump. But you're not mad about that because you only get triggered when people are being meanies to your daddy. Now you want the press to be abolished because daddy tells you everything they say is lies even when they use exact quotes from him. Guess what if you let the government do that the other side will turn it around on you guys once they get the chance.

Here's an idea: If you don't like what CNN has to say, don't watch it. Get all your news from Fox, Breitbart, Drudge, email chains, whatever you want. Instead of spending all your free time making yourself froth in the mouth in anger at whatever liberals are doing to make you mad today, just ignore them for once in your life. Choose to live your life free of opposing opinions instead of acting like a juvenile who thinks politics are an online game of Madden. Shit is unbelievable at this point.

As always, I'm done with you. You've sunk to a new level of pathetic.

I never said I did.

All I'm doing is presenting my viewpoint. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I'm confused, is this a rant on the "news" or is it a rant on slutty women?

Regardless, you're ranting about the news and saying it should be abolished. Really? Not even just stop supporting media industry with your dollars if it should be changed? And how about your own habits? Why do you turn it on if it bothers you so much. No one is force feeding these media outlet's publications to you. Just turn it off.

News itself is at least as important and more really, as protecting the 2nd amendment. Even in the Civil War, you racist idiots learned the hard way that the pen is in fact mightier than the sword. Abolishing free press is a complete failure on the citizenship to hold the government accountable.

I picture a "woman wearing an oversized sweater" type of dumb ass writing this shit post. After all, this is the literal opposite of the screamers on the left hollering about their own nonsense. I agree with Kassad, you should be BANNED.

While the editorial boards of places like CNN, WaPo, NYT, etc. are definitely left-leaning, they tend to publish news that’s usually neutral overall and has been thoroughly fact-checked and verified. They can also be critical of the Democratic Party and have been publishing negative news about Trump mostly because Trump is involved in a lot of newsworthy, negative things for a President (the constant lying, the campaign rallies, the buddy/buddy relationship with Putin, the Stormy Daniels scandal, and on and on)

The biggest cancer to American media and society for the last 10 years has been Fox News and the rise of far-right sites like Breitbart. Fox News is essentially the propaganda arm of the Republican arm and every single article published seems designed to rile up the base into fearing and mistrusting “the other side” (whether that be liberals, gun control advocates, the Democratic Party, minorities, LGBTQ individuals, etc.)

People try to create a false equivalency between Fox News and the other major news sites. There is no comparison. Nobody shills for the Democratic Party or tries to rile up the population against white conservatives the way Fox News essentially acts as state media for the Republican Party.

No, it isn't time to abolish freedom of the press. While the press has certainly had it's ups and downs over the past couple years, the first amendment puts freedom of speech and freedom of press hand in hand. Freedom of press is in place to prevent the government from intervening with both news and opinions shared on a large platform. While the majority of large news companies lean left and while this annoys some people, they are allowed to do so because of freedom of speech.

Sometimes reporters get thing wrong, and sometimes the news companies make them get it wrong. I do not fully agree with the spread of ideas through news manipulation, but I definitely do not thing freedom of press needs to be abolished. Saying it should be is ignorant, unamerican trash.

AND as iBankedUp pointed out, what is with you using one topic to take a stab at other things literally nobody wants to hear about. I recall you did this when chrome changed it's appearance (look in his post history for proof) Like seriously dude, instead of just posting shit like this just to vent to people who time and time again have taken a shit on your posts, find a solution. Get banned dawg.
